IESF CONTINUES TO UNITE THE WORLD OF ESPORTS WITH ACCEPTANCE OF THREE NEW CONTINENTAL FEDERATIONS

The International Esports Federation has announced the PanAmerican Esports Confederation (PAMESCO), the European Esports Federation (EEF) and the African Esports Association (AESA) as the latest Continental Esports Federations to join the World Esports Family.

With the signing of these three regional federations, IESF has now unified all continents in the world. Driven by its values of unity, inclusion, and respect, IESF believes this kind of international cooperation will advance the growth of professional Esports, streamline organizational structure and support the development of smaller nations in the PanAmerican, European and African regions.

IESF Secretary General  Boban Totovski said:

“It is a very exciting time for IESF to welcome PAMESCO, EEF and AESA to the World Esport Family. IESF is proud to serve as the unifying body for our member federations that share our goal to develop sustainable and responsible gaming worldwide. IESF will continue to push forward with embracing all Esports stakeholders into our World Esports Family and shape the future of Esports. It is our responsibility to protect our member’s integrity and ensure proper structure in the ecosystem” 

EEF President Karol Cagan said:

“It was a natural direction for Esports Europe to partner up with IESF. The role of the International Esports Federation is important to us and taking into consideration the assistance during our Nations Cup competitions, we are honored to open a new page in our history. Together, we will be an incremental part of the development of  the ecosystem in Europe, ensuring proper governance, responsible gaming and healthy youth.”

PAMESCO President Alexander Ospina said:

“We fully understand the international sports system in which we have a Sole Governing Body for each sports category, working with WESCO since the beginning as our Consortium, and with our National Federations developing Esports in America, we are more than happy, honored and ready to be under the Umbrella of IESF as the International Sole Governing Body of Esports. We are creating a solid and safe Esports ecosystem to leave a beautiful and proper legacy.”

AESA President Emmanuel Oyelaki said:

“Africa today celebrates its ascension to the World Esports body, IESF. This is the culmination of many years of solidarity and camaraderie on the African continent. Leaders in Esports in Africa have continued to unify and develop the Esports scenes on the motherland and today their sacrificial leadership has been validated as we embrace the IESF and join in the journey towards strengthening, developing, and unifying the global Esports world. We are very delighted to be a part of the very warm, inclusive, and progressive family that the IESF is.” 

About the International Esports Federation

IESF is the unifying body for World Esports. Founded in 2008 by nine-member nations, IESF is currently composed of over 100 Member Federations across five continents. IESF brings together all Esports stakeholders to achieve a united ecosystem for the development of sustainable and responsible gaming worldwide. The IESF Esports World Championship is the biggest multi-sport spectacle of Esports in the world. Pan-American Esports Confederation is the governing body of Esports, for the american countries, non-profit organization, gathering together Esports national governing bodies and regional associations, regulating and creating Esports standards. PAMESCO has been established by Brazil, Argentina and Costa Rica, and their respective representative organizations, as founding members, and work to give Esports in the region much needed structure and legitimacy.

Esports Europe – The European Esports Federation was founded in February 2020 as the umbrella federation for 23 national Esports organizations and 3 important stakeholders in the Esports ecosystem and beyond. The goal of the EEF is to (re)present Esports players and organizations in European politics, media, sports and society; as well as building a platform for its members and the Esports movement to develop and promote Esports as a conscious, responsible, sustainable, inclusive, healthy and value-based activity.

AESA is an international organization headquartered in South Africa. It was established to promote the development and adoption of Electronic Sports (Esports) in Africa. With 35 (and counting) member nations, the future of Africa Esports is in safe hands. As part of our developmental programmes, we (then ESFA) cooperated with the Africa Esports Championship (AEC2020) as well as playing a critical role in the partnership between the World Esports Consortium (WESCO) and Enter Africa towards birthing the Afrika Esports Series.

The 1st CARIBBEAN GAMES «Olympics» of the Caribbean Basin, initially planned in 2021, will be held this year, from June 29 to July 03, 2022 in the islands of GUADELOUPE (French Caribbean).

Also, with one of their partners, among the European leaders in terms of platform dedicated to gaming and eSports: NiceCactus , the team of Giga'Games - Guadeloupe eSports Federation, organizer, will provide all countries a dedicated environment through this platform, to make their qualifications in the same conditions of comfort and ergonomics for the GIGA'GAMES CANOC ESPORTS SERIES.

For these Caribbean Games GUADELOUPE 2022, 29 Caribbean Olympic Committees gathered around the biggest Caribbean multi-sports event through 7 traditional sports (Athletics, Basketball 3×3, Cycling, Futsal, Judo, Netball, Swimming) , and for the first time an associated international E-Sport component (not directly included in the Caribbean Games), through the CANOC ESPORTS SERIES Guadeloupe 2022, under the aegis of the Giga’Games Federation Guadeloupe of eSport. A pride for the President of Giga’Games, Samuel JOURSON and his team, and a partnership that the CANOC The Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees, and the Regional Olympic Committee of Guadeloupe CROS Guadeloupe are happy to see as the consecration of common discussions started since 2020 and a historic opportunity for the entire Caribbean basin to bring together these two universes contributing to the emancipation of youth, but also making the pride of entire peoples, through this vector of cohesion that is SPORT, in all its forms.

Giga’Games, a true pioneer of eSport for over 15 years is the organizer of the International eSport Cup which takes place annually in GUADELOUPE. At the same time this association contributes to help to structure and grow around the practice of eSport also its colleagues of Martinique (Rising Opossum Martinique eSport), of Guyana, but also of other English-speaking islands of the Caribbean. Real engine of the basin, Guadeloupe, this small archipelago of the Antilles, is also greeted for its work and its implication by big Latin American nations, as Venezuela, Mexico, Colombia, or Brazil. Giga'Games is official member and supported by WESCO and PAMESCO.

The board of the Federation Giga’Games Guadeloupe met and proceeded to the choice of 5 esport disciplines that will integrate these #GIGA’GAMES CANOC ESPORTS SERIES associated with the 1st Caribbean Games. GUADELOUPE 2022, like the Asian Games. This choice was guided by the Giga’Games team’s desire to respect the values of sport and Olympism: exchange, fair play, surpassing oneself, respect, excellence, friendship, courage, equality, inspiration. America prepares for its participation in the 2022 IESF World Championship

All America and the Caribbean celebrate together the birth of the PANAM OPEN.

As part of the launch of a new meeting point for the best electronic athletes in the region, we welcome the PANAM OPEN in its first edition.

This event will take place in the city of Buenos Aires – Argentina and its purpose is to help strengthen the esports ecosystem in the Pan-American region, the PANAM OPEN is the qualifying tournament on the way to the esports World Championship. IESF 2022, which will be held at the end of the year on the island of Bali in Indonesia.

It will be organized by IESF PANAM, IESF's regional marketing and business office, which in its first edition works to offer an international class diffusion due to its high production values.

It will have the support of the federal and regulatory entity of the continental government of the Pan American Confederation of Electronic Sports (PAMESCO), who will support the motorization and integration of its national affiliates.

From this alliance, the school esports programs of the countries affiliated to PAMESCO - PAN AMERICAN ELECTRONIC SPORTS CONFEDERATION will grow in strength and youthful impact, if we take into account that, with this alliance, students will not only develop their skills in video games, but they are also going to connect that passion with electronic sports, already in a competitive environment, having the possibility of advancing their personal and professional development.

NASEF is a global NGO, which provides a support framework for educators from all over the world, so that they can direct the professional and personal skills of students towards meaningful learning that provides them with great knowledge that they can apply to life itself. .

The idea of PAMESCO, with this alliance, is that students from its affiliated countries not only play, but also have the possibility of finding professional careers related to electronic sports.

NASEF taps into the massive student interest in competitive team gaming, offering a meaningful career and STEAM education along with tournaments in the best gaming titles. Students learn about potential career paths, participate in Beyond the Game analytical and creative challenges, manage clubs and events and raise funds, and compete in tournaments in popular titles including, but not limited to, Rocket League, Valorant, and Minecraft, to name a few. .

PAMESCO's vision is to create and foster competitive esports programs through the lens of academics and learning in middle and high schools by providing assistance, hosting tournaments, and presenting information to schools and advisors. NASEF supports similar organizations around the world and freely shares its unique expertise in developing global educational and career paths. As a nonprofit organization, NASEF focuses on youth impact, emphasizing the cultivation of talent in all students, particularly those from underserved populations. Through its partnerships, NASEF also helps students discover pathways to college scholarships and careers in the gaming industry around the world.

So PAMESCO, with this important strategy, is supporting and inviting all students from its affiliated countries to get involved so that students and educators can learn best practices from school programs, to potentiate them in their lives and in their academic tasks.

NASEF's mission is to provide the opportunity for all students to use esports as a platform to gain critical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills needed to thrive in work and life. NASEF operates under the umbrella of the World Wide Scholastic Esports Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, GA. The IESF - International Electronic Sports Federation has entrusted NASEF with the training and support of its more than 130 member federations as they undertake the development of school esports programs.

This is one more PAMESCO alliance that strengthens meaningful learning in all fields of life for those who are affiliated and that allows students at all levels to carry out their academic activity more effectively and with the best results.
